Receiving PUSH notifications

Most modern apps use PUSH notifications and the Slovensko v mobile app is no exception. PUSH notifications are supported by both Android and iOS platforms and usually serve as a means to notify the user about a specific event or activity, while also allowing them to perform a quick and easy action.

Notifications will be sent to the user in the form of calendar event alerts - in a timely manner, or as notifications to update the app itself.

Setting up to receive PUSH notifications is not at all complicated. Once the Slovensko v mobile app is activated, the user will automatically be prompted to enable PUSH notifications. If they refuse, their device will not receive them. If permission is granted, their device will be automatically subscribed to receive the basic topics, which they will be able to set themselves according to their preferences and also change them  at any time, by opening the application menu (top left corner -> Application Settings -> Push Notifications).

Currently, Slovensko v mobile app users can be notified about an upcoming calendar event or a possible update to the app itself. However, we are constantly working on adding new functionality, which means that the functionality and number of notification topics will increase in the future. Users will receive notifications that will not only relate to important dates from the calendar, but they will be reminded via PUSH message of any important events such as expiration of their documents, new message in the message box, change in submission status, etc.

For more information on how to activate the application, check the Slovensko v mobile app activation page.

The current method of logging in to government services is secure, but difficult and complicated for the user, mainly because the user needs to have an ID card reader available at each login, along with software capable of communicating with that reader. The ambition of the Slovensko v mobile app is to solve this problem as well.

Communication with the government will once again be a bit easier for individuals and legal entities. The new Slovensko v mobile app simplifies the way of logging in to government services such as the slovensko.sk portal or the electronic mailbox using mobile key.
